Each week of Summer Camp features a different theme, with guided art projects and hands-on activities inspired by art, nature, and creative exploration.
Camp Weeks & Themes:
June 29 – July 2: Creative Experiments— Children explore movement, motion, and energy through dynamic art processes that involve action, rhythm, and playful experimentation. Each session focuses on one process-based project, encouraging whole-body creativity, sensory exploration, and expressive mark-making in a thoughtfully prepared environment.
July 6 – 10: Building & Sculpture— Children investigate how artists create form, balance, and structure through three-dimensional design. Using various building and sculptural materials, each session focuses on one process-based project that develops spatial awareness, problem-solving, and creative thinking.
July 13 – 17: Printmaking— Children learn how artists create images through pattern, texture, and repeated marks using various printmaking techniques. Through guided instruction and hands-on exploration, each session focuses on a process-based print project that encourages experimentation and creative confidence.
July 20 – 24: Nature & Art— Children explore the natural world through art inspired by plants, animals, seasons, and landscapes. Through observation, discussion, and hands-on materials, they learn about nature while creating a process-based project that encourages sensory discovery and a creative connection to the environment.
July 27 – 31: Paper Arts— Children discover how paper can be made, transformed, and constructed through processes such as handmade papermaking, collage, construction, and book-inspired art. Each session features a process-based project that encourages exploration of texture, layering, and creative design.
August 3 – 7: Indigenous & Folk Art— Children explore art inspired by Indigenous and folk traditions from around the world through patterns, symbols, textures, and storytelling. Each session centers on a process-based project, encouraging hands-on exploration, cultural curiosity, and creative expression using age-appropriate materials.
August 10 – 14: Drawing & Painting— Children explore drawing and painting through playful, hands-on processes using a variety of age-appropriate materials and tools. Each session focuses on a process-based project, supporting fine-motor development, color exploration, and creative confidence within a thoughtfully prepared, Montessori-inspired environment.
August 17 – 21: Mixed Media & Collage — Children explore how artists combine different materials to create layered artworks. By working with drawing, painting, paper, and textured materials, they learn about composition and creative problem-solving while completing a process-based mixed media project.
August 24 – 28: Recycled Art— Children explore creativity using clean, safe recycled materials such as cardboard, paper, fabric, and found objects. Each session focuses on one process-based project, encouraging imagination, fine-motor development, and early awareness of reusing and caring for our environment.
